UltrasScore is operated from Waregem, Belgium and is subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.
1. Who we are
UltrasScore is the data controller for personal data collected through this platform. You can reach us via our contact page or by writing to us at: UltrasScore, 8790 Waregem, Belgium.
2. What data we collect
When you create an account, we collect:
- Your email address
- Your chosen username
- Your supported club (chosen during setup)
When you use the platform, we also collect:
- Voting activity (which club you voted for in each match)
- Video submissions (including the YouTube links you submit)
- Basic usage data (page visits, interactions) via standard server logs
If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and Google account ID from Google's OAuth service. We do not receive your Google password or payment information.
3. Why we collect it
We use your data to:
- Provide and operate the UltrasScore platform
- Calculate fan scores and league standings accurately
- Send transactional emails (e.g. match results, account confirmation)
- Moderate user-submitted video content
- Prevent abuse and maintain platform integrity
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for automated profiling or targeted advertising beyond the contextual ads displayed on the site.
4. Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:
- Supabase — database and authentication hosting (data stored in EU region)
- Vercel — web hosting and serverless functions
- Google OAuth — optional sign-in method
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Ad network (ACS) — contextual display advertising; may use cookies for ad serving
Each of these providers has their own privacy policy governing how they handle data processed on our behalf.
5. Cookies
UltrasScore uses cookies and local storage for essential functions such as keeping you logged in and remembering your league preferences. No cookie consent banner is shown for these essential cookies as they are necessary for the service to function.
The advertising network displayed on the site may place additional cookies for ad serving purposes. You can manage or block these through your browser settings or a browser extension such as uBlock Origin.
6. How long we keep your data
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data (email, username, club preference) is removed within 30 days. Aggregated voting data may be retained in anonymised form for historical statistics.
7. Your rights (GDPR)
As a user based in the EU, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Erasure — ask us to delete your personal data
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we process your data
- Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection — object to certain types of processing
To exercise any of these rights, use the contact form. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (autoriteprotectiondonnees.be).
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Significant changes will be communicated via email to registered users.
